As a small contribution to the Firefox community I sometimes write or update search plugins for the Firefox browser. You can find some of the ones I have written or updated on this page. Click on a link below to install a plugin in your browser. Some of my plugins have been or will be added to the Mycroft search plugin database.
If you are looking for a plugin for a specific site that is not listed here, first check-out the Mycroft search plugin database, it contains thousands of plugins for many different sites and from many different contributors. If you still cannot find it and really want a plugin, you can request one or alternatively send me a request by e-mail and I may make one for you if I have the time. Or you can create a site search plugin for your site in a few simple steps.
There are two kinds of search plugins currently available:
OpenSearch plugins (supported by Firefox 2, Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7
- although Internet Explorer 7 only supports those search plugins that use the
get method). These search plugins never have sidebar support.
